Wm,

Did it run successfully from the CLI?
I think so, this was the first time I had tried to produce a Budget Chart from this book so I don't have a previous working example to compare to.

What’s the resolution of your monitor and how small did you make the window
when you took it out of full screen?

It's a laptop, 1920 x 1080 which is the recommended resolution.

Reduced gnc's window to about a quarter of the screen.

Sounds like runaway recursion so it exceeds Guile’s max stack size. If you
could get to report options it would be useful to know if shrinking either the
depth or the time span make a difference.

The thing that makes the difference is the Levels of Subaccount, at fullscreen it works with Subaccount levels 1 to 3 and b0rks at 4 or over regardless of whether any accounts are selected.   At quarter screen size I can get to Subaccount 6/All.

The range of periods doesn't seem to a major factor.

Hope that helps to pin it down, ask if I should test some more.

In any event I have a working report now, thanks.

Wm
