Shouldn't the remaining holding be 100,000 shares in both versions?

Prior to 5.17, to account for a stock split, a share adjustment split needed to be added to a lot. As of 5.17, the share adjustment split is not necessary (or desired) if the stock split transaction is entered using Stock Transaction Assistant or Stock Split Assistant.

Could this affect existing lots where the Stock Split Assistant entry was
already assigned to the lot?
Apparently.

If a "stock-split" split (as created by the Stock Transaction Assistant or Stock Split Assistant) was added as the share adjustment split to a lot prior to 5.17, the share adjustment split will still be present but no longer visible in the lot using the lot viewer as of 5.17.

One way to remove the "hidden" share adjustment split from the lot in 5.17 is to Duplicate the stock split transaction and then Delete the original.

Regards,

Sherlock
