It is not quite that simple, hence my recommendation for Julie to get very familiar with the Wiki pages concerning Backups and Configuration Locations. (everyone should be familiar with these) I didn't have time during my last reply to look them up, but here are those direct links:

https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Backup
https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Configuration_Locations

Specific to Saved Report Configurations, those are stored in a location known as GNC_DATA_HOME.

For a 'pristine' (self-compiled or 'repository') version of GnuCash on Linux, that location is:

~/.local/share/gnucash

For a flatpak installation:

~/.var/app/org.gnucash.GnuCash/data/gnucash

There are other important files there one might want to preserve or copy over to an additional installation.

For a list, see this bookmark on the Configuration Locations wiki page:

https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Configuration_Locations#Files

Copying just the book file won't get you any of that stuff.

Since those files live in the user's home directory, it is likely they were left behind when the flatpak was uninstalled. All that needs to be done is to re-install the flatpak version and open it instead and the Saved Reports should now be accessible again.

Note, the .desktop launcher file for flatpak lives in a different place and has a different Exec command. If Julie edited the .desktop file for the 'pristine' version, that edit will need to be copied over to the flatpak version of the file, being sure to *only add* the WEBKIT workaround to the Exec line, leaving the rest as-is. (or else it might not launch correctly, at all, or launch the wrong version if the repo version remains installed)

Regards,
Adrien

Julie, just in case the flatpack does not find your old files, it sounded like
you have an identical copy on your portable. If so you can move the gnucash
current file (you may have named it differently) from the portable to the other
machine. If they are networked it is even easier.
