I, also, would be able to help in the hosting department (I run various
servers, including a cvs server), but I suspect that the big issue is more
one of supporting the code.

I hesitate to volunteer as the primary maintainer as I always seem to have
too many projects on the go (including some outstanding mods to GnuDIP).
On the other hand, if you're going to withdraw from the project then we need
to know (as a minimum) who the other two people are that you mentioned have
write access to the current repository.
