You need to manually register the new machine at the gnudip server (this gives you the host name [which is the same as the user name] and password). When you install the client software and tell it which server, client host name, and password to use, the IP registration will happen automagically.
IIRC, there is nothing in the protocol that would allow for an automated registration kind of behavior.
