Hi,

I will participate in the Computer Go tournament during the European Go Congress 2013 with my program CyberGo. Since I want to make use of Gnugo 3.8 within CyberGo I asked the developers of Gnugo for permission to do so. I am forwarding this email from Daniel Bump to you as a confirmation that I received this permission.

Best regards
Paul Hepperger

As you may know the 57th European Go Congress will take place in early
August in Poland. I intend to have "CyberGo" participate in the 19x19
Computer Go tournament. So I am asking you for permission to let my
program make use of Gnugo 3.8 in that event.

My understanding is that it is OK to do this. If you go beyond this and
start *distributing* a hybrid program as opposed to just tournament play
you should review the GPL (and let us know).

Out of curiosity, how does your program compare in strength to GNU Go,
and what portions of GNU Go do you make use of (and how)?

Daniel Bump
