Sort modes are: - by age (newest floats to the top) - by review status (unreviewed to the top) - by episode (IOW, problem) (alphabetically)
These would benefit from unification. Elements could include a background item (a stack of horizontal lines sorted by length?), and a foreground object specific to the type of sort. Ideas on the specifics would be interesting. For the episodes, maybe some kind of branch-tree? I cannot recall any graphic representations of age ("old" vs "new"), some options could be ambiguous (hourglass... waiting/processing?) (calendar... go to schedule?)
Two "forms" per item could support reversed sorts (maybe with the background "lines" reversed)
The "current" sort state might be denoted by a drop-shadow (four "forms" per item").
Will documents default to any sort order? Will "unsorted" be a possible state?
