Updating on openSUSE 10.2, 10.3 and Factory is pretty easy

Just type 'zypper ref' and 'zypper install gnumed-client'.

Once done you can just run gnumed and off you go. There is a catch.
If you have the previous version installed the config file still points to the 
previous database version v7. So check out the gnumed.conf config file 
located at '~/.gnumed/gnumed.conf' and change v7 to v8.
