Yes, after
touch ~/.gnumed/gnumed.conf
gnumed starts.
If so I'd add
touch ~/.gnumed/gnumed.conf
to /usr/bin/gnumed.
I'll do so.
In 0.2.9 all this trouble is gone by design.
