I'm not sure if this is the right place to mention this, or if there is a more formal place to request modifications. Apologies if this is the wrong area.
I'm told that Excel has a rather nice feature. If you have a formula, select the cell the formula is in, then click to the right of the formula in the formula bar, all cells involved in the formula will be highlighted. This would seem to be quite useful for debugging complicated expressions. I notice that doing the 'drag cell' trick to extend a series (i.e., you have 2 in A1 and 4 in A2, highlighting both of these and dragging downards yields 6, 8, 10 etc.) doesn't seem to work with dates. That would be quite handy for rapidly entering date ranges as column/row headings. Thanks for listening...
