And the other thing is that it is quiet unclear how to contribute because it is not clear either to build for Solaris or for some Linux distribution. IMO the packages mainly lacks Solaris support and are rather built for Linux. Just an example. It took me a long time to get my sound device to work on Solaris, respectively on Nexenta. Why, because the device world is a Linux world especially for audio. So I think it would be useful to explain how to tweak the source if some kind of problems arise while compiling. So if it would be clear where to get the sources and how to compile them a lot more people could contribute.
