Greetings, Nexenta 1.0 appears to install correctly on my system, but hangs during the first boot. This is an Intel Core2 quad system with Nvidia card. The Sun hardware check claims all my devices are supported by Solaris 10.
I tried using the kernel debugger (moddebug/W 80000000 and all that). It shows many modules being loaded; the last message shown says "installing i8042" (keyboard/mouse, I think). At that point the system freezes. F1-A does nothing. For reference the same thing happened with RC5. I am able to boot off the OpenSolaris Indiana preview LiveCD (based on build 75), but only in text mode. I would prefer Nexenta if it worked. Is this the right venue for this question? Any suggestions? _______________________________________________ gnusol-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.sonic.net/mailman/listinfo/gnusol-users
