Thanks for your response Erast, I appreciate it. I'm now thoroughlyconfused 
however. I've attempted to install exim4 under 1.0.1test2,1.0.1test3, as well 
as A7 but it's missing from both the A7 and corerepositories. I can install the 
exim4-doc files ok, but apt can't findexim4. Does anyone have a link to the 32 
bit P4 exim4.deb file?
