Maybe modify /vault/share/Software/stage3-i686-2008.0.tar.bz2 so that it
contains a root/etc/sysconfig directory? Otherwise you'll need to
modify/patch the script that attempts to place
/zone/1/root/etc/sysconfig/network and put a "mkdir -p" before it to
ensure the directory exists.

Hi,
you are right. The sunwlxu package was missing.
Now after some strugling I come to a point were I am stuck. I get the
following error when trying to install the zone using zoneadm:

Hmm, looks like you need to install the sunwlxu and sunwlxr packages,
once that's done the zone should work.
apt-get install sunwlxr sunwlxu
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# ls /usr/lib/brand/
lx native
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/etc/zones# zonecfg -z lx-zone
lx-zone: No such zone configured
Use 'create' to begin configuring a new zone.
zonecfg:lx-zone> create -t SUNWlx26
zonecfg:lx-zone> set zonepath=/zone/lx-zone
zonecfg:lx-zone> verify
As you can see there are no errors.

Hi Michael,
I tried to create a zone as described in the links you told me (
linux 2.6
compatible ), but when I try to verify and commit I get an error.
Googling this error shows me that in some old nexenta releases zones
were
not really working. I am using NCP 2 beta:
zonecfg:lx-zone> commit
lx-zone: unknown brand.
lx-zone: Invalid document
zonecfg:lx-zone> verify
lx-zone: unknown brand.
lx-zone: Invalid document
zonecfg:lx-zone>
regards,
Manuel.
