Is anyone else having this issue?
I use gcc-4.1 without problems on Intel EM64T (and IA32 compatibility
mode)
running Debian
However, I always build with debug=yes ... I guess it's possible that the
gcc-4.1 compiler has an issue of some sort with its optimiser, which I
wouldn't see.
I tried with various optimzations and am no loanger able to reproduce the
bug(?) even at the
original $CFLAGS settings. I'm don't know what changed. I was easily able
to reproduce it
yesterday compiling everything multiple time. So I don't know.
Thanks

Subject: compiling base with gcc 4.1 results in Gui app segfault
I compiled svn today with gc 4.1 and was getting a segfault and running in
gdb crashed gdb. the work around i found was to compile base with gcc
3.4.3
and everything else with gcc 4.1. base only apps appear to still work
with
gcc 4.1 (strange). it doesn't matter which backend is used.
Later
