IMHO, if gnutls were to attempt to switch to a different non-system allocator 
by default it is highly likely to cause breakage in applications, as they can 
reasonably assume the system allocator is always going to be used in the 
absence of a call to `gnutls_global_set_mem_functions`. Agreed that 
un-deprecating the function is possible.
