Dear Frederick, All the 24 letters/images of "hdfp2" refer to one subject: the 62 volumes of the "Livros das Monções" held by the Torre do Tombo, Lisbon. It is not only surprising but also saddening to see how much bureaucracy was needed to "hand over" a digital copy of those volumes to the Archives in Goa.
I think that soon after the date of the last document of this "back and forth", all the scans of the 62 volumes were placed online by Torre do Tombo, accessible to everyone. They might not be downloadable in bulk, but the viewing is very user friendly. best, sidh --- Sidh Daniel Losa Mendiratta (+351) 912 755 074 Rua João Batista Lavanha, 55, 4 Dto 4150-412 Porto Portugal Co-Principal Investigator PORTofCALL: African-Asian-European Encounters (FCT/PTDC/ART-DAQ/4357/2021) <https://ces.uc.pt/en/investigacao/projetos-de-investigacao/projetos-financiados/portofcall> Integrated Researcher Centro de Estudos Sociais, Universidade de Coimbra <https://ces.uc.pt/en/ces/pessoas/investigadoras-es/sidh-losa-mendiratta> Auxiliar Professor Mestrado Integrado em Arquitectura, Universidade Lusófona do Porto <https://www.ulp.pt/pt/docentes/sidh-daniel-losa-mendiratta> On Tue, 15 Aug 2023 at 22:58, fredericknoronha <[email protected]> wrote: > Surprised by the amazing amount of time spent, and official correspondence > undertaken, to hand over three DVDs.
