I would have understood had this event been some sort of fund raising day for needy and derserving Goans back home. Fun, games and dance? Who does this benefit? The organisers and participants should think about this. I wish the organisers of each event wherever it is held would embark on a fund raising drive each year the event is held. The proceeds so collected can then be cannilized to sponsor needy kids in different schools in Goa, help support a charity, help temples, churches, forts and monuments of heritage in need of urgent attention or repair, etc... It is never too late to make a start, this year's events could be a starting point. Is the coordinator listening?
