JUNGLE CALLS !
Hello WildGoans,
Southern Birdwing will organise its next wildgoa trip for
birdlovers " Jungle Calls!" to Bondla wildlife sanctuary on sunday,
January 12 . After having explored a wide variety of habitats in
Bardez taluka, they feel this the right time to attempt a session
of serious birdwatching at Bondla .
Interested participants will have to beat the early birds and
make it to the Bondla canteen by 7am and will keep birding till
noon, with a brief break for breakfast.
At Bondla some of the birds sighted include fairy bluebird,
paradise flycatcher ,blackheaded yellow bulbul, shama, forest
wagtail, malabar grey hornbill, heartspotted woodpecker, pygmy
woodpecker, malabar trogon, large green barbet, velvet fronted
nuthatch, bluebearded bee-eater, grey junglefowl etc.
The participation fee for adults is Rs. 50 and Rs. 25/- for
students. This does not include the entrance fee into the sanctuary
