PERMISSION FOR USE OF MIKE DURING NIGHTS
March 21, 2003
The Government under the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules
2000 has permitted the use of loudspeakers or public address system during the night
between 10.00 p.m. to 12.00 midnight on the specified days of cultural, festival
occasions for the year 2003.
The days specified for use of loudspeakers or public address system during
the nights for two hours after 10.00 p.m. are Carnival on March 4, Easter, April 20,
Ganesh Chaturthi on September 1, Navaratri on September 26, Navaratri, October 4,
Diwali Eve October 24, Christmas Eve, December 24, Christmas December 25 and New Year
Eve December 31, 2003.
Also for Temple jatra, church feast, immersion day of Sarvajanik Ganesh
and any other local festival event promoted by the Government on the community for one
day.
Again permission for use of loudspeaker or public address system will be
issued for two days on Carnival days, Navaratri days other than March 4, September 26
and October 4.
