Dear Goan Bretheren,
In reference to the Portuguese Nationality / Passport presentation held in
Qatar by Goan Overseas Association, please note there are some latest
changes in the costing of marriage in Conservatoria Lisboa which are given
below:
All those marriages which have taken place between 19-12-1961 till the 31st
December 1974 will attract a fee of EUR 139/- approx about Rs. 6800/- which
is a statutory fee to be paid to the Conservatoria dos registos centrais.
These changes are effective from 25th March 2003. Marriages which have taken
place before 19/12/1961 do not attract these charges. Marriages which have
taken place after 31/12/1974 cannot be submitted unless and untill the birth
of one person is registered which please note.
Please add this item under costing, in the previous document circulated:
* Statutory fee for transcription of marriage to be paid to the
Conservatoria dos registos Centrais in Lisbon (EUR 139)Rs. 6,800/-.
(effective 25th March 2003)
