I can not force or change the opinions of those who do not like America. America to me has been one of the greatest experiance I could ever have. Here is a my respone to a group of you have written a reply to my position.
We are now in April 2003. Nearly a year since Afghanistan was "liberated". However, the promises of elections and democracy are as faint as ever. After all, why bother with that, when you have your lackey in power there right?

The current Afgan Loya Jirga is composed of Afgans who represent thier faction or area. Yes the U.S. supports Karzai but Karzai was on the battle field fighting to free his country from tyrants or would you prefer the whole world was ruled by tyrants? One last thing Tariq why are you a fan of an american sports team and I wonder if you live in the U.S. If you do why?
The only "rogue" to have spoilt the fun with nuclear weapons is the USA.

Tim I guess you conviently forgot about the cold war in which the U.S. and its allies(Canada & NATO) came out as winners and the U.S. has always been a leader in not only reducing its nuk arsenal but giving assitance to those who need help controling thiers (Russia).
I will try and answer the last two. 1) My solution to Iraq would be to get the Iraqi Govt to destroy any/all weapons of mass destruction. 2) I would deal with them thru the U.N. The U.N. had inspectors in the Iraq. The Iraqi govt was destroying the weapons that were deemed illegal by the UN. Mervyn

I have spoken to a few Iraqis and they are not happy about the USA either. Sure they want Saddam gone but they don't want him to be replaced by the US or their imposter.

If one really needed to get rid of Saddam a single snipper could have done the job. What I mean is there was no need to do a fully scale war to dislodge one person from a post while actually killing/injuring thousands of innocent people in the process.

People who live in the western hemisphere are more healthier than the east and sad to inform you live longer lives.
Let us make sure we have got the justification for this war right. Justification is very important. The sound bites have to be just right to get higher ratings and to win elections. Weapons of mass destruction seem not to be a good justification any more. For one thing, they seem to be invisible. It should have been "God is on my side" right from the start. After all, who can hear the voice of Bush's God? But if we could hear Him, I bet He would say "Project for the New American Century".

It was 1987! Lt.Col. Oliver North testifying at the Iran-Contra hearings during the Reagan Administration.
There was Ollie in front of God and country getting the third degree, but what he said was stunning!
He was being drilled by a senator; "Did you not recently spend close to $60,000 for a home security system?"
Ollie replied, "Yes, I did, Sir."
The senator continued, trying to get a laugh out of the audience, "Isn't that just a little excessive?"
"No, sir," continued Ollie.

At this point the senator tried to repeat the name, but couldn't pronounce it, which most people back then probably couldn't. A couple of people laughed at the attempt. Then the senator continued. Why are you so afraid of this man?" the senator asked.
"Because, sir, he is the most evil person alive that I know of", Ollie answered.
"And what do you recommend we do about him?" asked the senator.
"Well, sir, if it was up to me, I would recommend that an assassin team be formed to eliminate him and his men from the face of the earth."
The senator disagreed with this approach. By the way, that senator was Al Gore

As I said I can not change your minds but I can honestly say I have facts to prove my case. By the way I feel this site can do more than just american bashing.
