I share Clinton's shock and sorrow at the wanton destruction of the old
Khareband Bridge on the River Sal during dredging operations. It was an
unique feature of the landscape and must have been at least a couple of
centuries old since I remember it well and with affection for the better
part of the 72 plus years of my life!
