Although the question was addressed to Gabe, I take the liberty of quoting the following from Eddie Fernandes's "New York Times - Loutulim Journal" post on Goanet yesterday, June 03:
"Catholics have steadily lost political power and population, and now make up about 20 percent of Goa's 1.2 million people". It would be worth finding out from where the author of the article in New York Times, James Brooke, culled such an information: was it perhaps from the two Figueiredo Albuquerque sisters from Loutulim?
