New Delhi, June 9 (IANS) Three government employees have been arrested by sleuths of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) while allegedly accepting bribes. In the first case, an assistant labour commissioner posted in Vasco in Goa was arrested while he was allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs.10,000. "C.P. Audchiya demanded Rs.30,000 from a businessman for issuing a licence. When Audchiya was arrested, he was accepting the first instalment of the bribe," a CBI officer said here Monday. The second arrest was of assistant foreman D.S. Tiwari posted at the Ordnance Factories Staff College at Nagpur in Maharashtra. Tiwari was nabbed while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs.2,000 that he had demanded from a man for not creating hurdles in his catering business. In the third case, R.N. Sonwanshi, a superintendent of mines in Yavatmal district of Maharashtra, was arrested when he was allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs.5,000.
