Dear Member, You might have read the advertisement about AGRI CLINICS AND AGRIBUSINESS CENTRES issued by the Directorate of Agriculture and published in the Navhind Times dated 16 June,2003 and got the impression that something new is in the offing. I did. I also took the trouble to go to Panaji and talk to the concerned officer at Vidyut Bhavan.I was greatly disappointed. 1. There is no scheme with the Department : it is a NABARD refinance project. 2. Details of the NABARD scheme available with the officer is out-dated,in fact of 2001. 3. Details of the training, venue of training and its duration are not known. 4. The rate of interest on the loan is not known. The last date for receipt of applications with biodata is 25 June,so this email should not discourage any potential applicants.I do hope the response of the Directorate will be encouraging. Non-starters are worse than doing nothing. They kill the enthusiasm of potential beneficiaries. Those really interested in the NABARD scheme of finance for AgriClinics please go to its website http://www.nabard.org .It will be more helpful. Otherwise contact the ADB of State Bank of India.
