Goan associations all over the world and those in
various states of India should request the ministry of
finance and the RBI to include the Konkani language in
Roman script on the currency notes from the next new
series to be issued.

As many of you know, it has been pointed out on this forum that I am not a Konkani expert - actually it was pointed out that I have not learned much from my Konkani lessons.
Nevertheless, the comment made by Mr. Louis interests me.
From what I know, it is only the small (<30%) proportion of Goa's populationthat uses Roman script. i.e. mostly the Christian sector.
Will the Indian Govt. and the RBI respond to cater to such a small number?
And, Oh! Yes!
