(i) These Rules may be called Facilitation Centre for Welfare of NRI (Goans) (Grant of Assistance) Rules 2003.
(ii) These Rules shall come into force with immediate effect.
Rule 2. In these Rules (i) "Facilitation Centre for Welfare of NRI(Goans)" means the Centre set up by the Government
(ii) "Welfare Schemes" means schemes formulated for Welfare of (Goans) NRIs by the said Centre.
(iii) "Government" means Government of Goa.
Rule 3 The Government may subject to the availability of funds sanctioned grants to the Facilitation Centre every quarter of the financial year. The Grants shall be utilized for the purpose indicated below
(a) To pay honorarium @ Rs. 10,000/- per month to the
Chairman of the Co-ordination Committee constituted
by the Government. The Chairman of the Co-ordination
Committee shall also be paid actual taxi charges for
attending the work of the Centre. The grants shall also
include expenditure on salary of the clerical staff
provided to the Centre by EDC.(b) Any other expenditure duly authorized by the Government.
