> 'GOA GOA' GOES GREAT GUNS: Tourism director, N Suryanarayana, is ecstatic.
"Never before in the history of Goa Tourism occupancy has been so high
during the lean season," he told Gomantak Times, on September 11. "For the
past 75 days, more than 7 lakh tourists have visited the State. This is a
remarkable change that proves that Goa is truly a 365-day destination."
Estimates provided by Goa Tourism show an increase of 52,000 arrivals
traveling by air, 1.5 lakh by road and 2 lakh by rail, as compared to last
year. (GT)

Hi Joel
Are these really tourist, or is it all the people from the Gulf and Canada
who visit Goa during the lean period as school close for summer holidays?
