Thanks Noronha, I dont't think there are cassettes etc on this age old singing practice 'verso'
The place where i am coming from (salcette), this chanting of 'Vers' at the time of 'Roso' nearly stopped about 15 years ago. Brides/bridesgroom now a days put a condition No Ross, No Undok Navoup (bathing) No Follie-jevon etc. You are right, only older people used to sing (usually ladies, there were very few of them). This practice is slowly dying (or died already?). Perhaps, TE PODER MELLE TE UNDE KOBAR ZALE Generation gap is to be blammed too. It won't me surprise me if singing of popular 'mandos' also die say in next 15 years.
