Fausto V. Da Costa has come out with a Konkani CD "Goan Wedding Songs" . The CD contains all the traditional songs 'Vers, Ovi, Zoti, Mando etc' sung during the wedding ceremony and before at the time of Ross. These traditional songs are hardly heard in modern day weddings. I myself heard them for the first time on this CD. It also has one mando specially sung at the Engagement time, besides one when the bride leaves the house for the nuptials.
"Goa Wedding Songs' is a beautiful CD and can be termed as a collectors item.
You can pick it up at 'Manfa Music' Fatima Chambers, Margao or any of the other Music shops in Goa or mumbai.
