      Welcome to NEST�s one day seminar.  The 6th annual conference of NEST 
was held at Kalyanapuram, Tamilnadu on the theme, �Dynamics of Order and 
Disorder in Nature and Society: Chaos, Systems theory and Chaocomplexology.� 
 It was held from 2nd to 4th November, 2003 amidst bad whether and 
torrential rains.

    Many aspirants participants having interest, expertise and Knowledge in 
this field could not make it.
    This field came into the forefront with Benoit Mandelbrot�s book 
�Fractal Geometry of Nature� in 1975 and then the popularization of the 
subject by James Gleik with his book �Chaos: Making a New Science� in 1987.

    Now we intend to hold a one day seminar on �Chaos, Systems theory and 
Complex Systems� to be held on 31st October 2003 at Madras Christian College 
at 9 am, Tambram, Chennai.
    Participatory Contribution for the day is Rs.50/-

    You are invited to participate and also present a paper on your field 
of interest and expertise.
