Just got back from Betim. The entire stretch from Malim to Betim, and beyond to Nerul, has dozens of Narkasurs in various sizes, colours and forms. I counted at least twenty of which at least three were gigantic.

In Panjim too there are a few Narkasurs been set up around the place. The mood is definitely upbeat. Hundreds of local tourists all over the place - making the best of the Fri-Sat-Sun Diwali holiday. A few white skins also visible - clicking away at the Narkasurs with their 4 mega pixel digital cameras.

"Diwali symbolizes the destruction of evil and the return of peace and happiness. It is a concept which transcends all religions and is a celebration of the triumph of good over evil."

Here's wishing you all a Happy Diwali!
