Indian fight with Malaysian Tigers

Football Men - India bts Malaysia by 2-0

It was not a cakewalk through, but quite an easy one for Indians as they made two goals to defend the Malaysian tigers on Friday.

The goals came in from the sturdy Jatin Singh Bisht who hit it in the 58th minute while the second one was hit within five minutes of the first goal by none other than the iron man of the Indian team IM Vijayan.

India's victory was predictable after this as players beamed with confidence. But Malaysian tigers in Yellow jerseys had thrown tough competition for India as the latter's attempts to hit a goal were foiled many a time.

India saw a ray of hope in the 11th minute when its captain Baichung Bhutia tried to hit the net, but was disappointed when the target missed the focus. The wall like blocks of Malaysian goalkeeper Muhammad Al Hafiz Hamzah saved the goal for his team.

Both the teams could not make any headway during the first half of the match. The Indians could keep the ball on their side for a long time but were unable to hit it. The goalkeepers of the both the teams acted as tough walls making it difficult for the players to hit in.

The thin, but cheerful spectators in the LB stadium on Friday afternoon added colour to this game of smashes and hit. The stadium, more or less, was empty with only two galleries being occupied, and that too by the school and college students.
