In recent days I have been noticing an inordinately large number of Public Notices appearing in all the local dailies, particularly in the Gomantak Times, of people who are changing their parents' names - or at least stating a different name for their parents.
Is this something to do with applications for Portuguese Citizenship?
I've heard of changing one's own name. But can you legally change your parent's name?
Could someone throw some light on this?
