NO MORE MINING AT MHADEI, NETURLIM: A standing committee appointed by the Supreme Court to look into matters related to forests has directed the State government to stop forthwith all mining activity within Mhadei and Neturlim wild life sanctuary areas. The Goa Foundation had filed an application before this Central-empowered panel in New Delhi, alleging that mining activities were rampant within the limits of Mhadei and Neturlim. (WE-GT)
