According to the investigating officer, a police inspector, Ms Rina Torcato, the arrest of the constable Rajesh Yeshi, a resident of Poke Wadda, Morjim-Pernem, was made following a complaint lodged by the victim, a 18-year-old girl, on November 12.
The complainant said that Rajesh entered the house on October 27 and forcibly committed the rape.
