Well � known and most sought after Mangalorean stage artiste Wilfy along with his singer wife Meena and musician Joswin who will privide special musical score for Wilfy�s songs have already arrived in Kuwait yesterday 19th of this month to participate in a grand musical show �Konkani Ekvottachi Sanz� on coming Thursday 27th. Wilfy�s son who is rated as one of the best singers having very mellifluent voice and attractive looks will join his parents on the stage since he is already stationed in Kuwait.
Lot of people are anxiously waiting to see Wilfy and his troupe performing on 27th of this month for Konkani Musical Show organized by Youth Recreation Centre to mark its Silver Jubilee. YRC is one of the well known expatriate organizations in Kuwait headed and initiated by renowned personality Lawry Pinto who is a strong link between Goans and Mangaloreans. Besides involving in expatriate soccer activities YRC and Lawry Pinto in particular as I know him from close angle are very dedicated to social and humanitarian causes. They deserve support, cooperation and goodwill for the good work they do in society.
Konkani Ekvottachi Sanz consists of variety of items from different artistes local as well as visiting. The visiting artistes namely comedy kings from Goa Prince Jacob and his brother Humbert while evergreen heroine Rita Rose wife of late Alfred Rose and C. D�Silva as old �Garamae� will dazzle the audience as per the information from the director of the Show Fidelis Fernandes. The main attraction of the Show will be the excellent Skit " DEVACHEA MARANK AVAZ NA" by renowned writer, director, composer and songster Rosary Ferns whose credibility as a writer, singer and composer need not be elaborated. Rosary Ferns is an author of so many Dramas, songs, audio cassettes and he is maker of first Konkani CD.
The rest of the visiting artistes will be in the town within the next two days. Their arrival will also be notified in this column.
According to the organisers, there is heavy demand for entry passes. Yet, to avoid last minute disappointment it is better to obtain entry passes in advance only.
