Anyone who thinks that caste only exists/existed in India is very mistaken. Slaves existed in all civilizations and in the Bible, women have been made into a very special lower caste, and superiority of one race/color or another has always been around. Indians who think that they will escape caste if they leave India are in for a rude awakening; they will encounter color prejudice and be treated as second-class citizens outside India too. We human beings learn by experience. Now, under the impact of various ideas and the independence movement, we can see that there is no inequality based on caste. Now we talk about equality, and ban discrimination based on race, creed, color, caste etc. It took millenia for mankind to come to this amazing conclusion that all are equal!
