The matter was raised before Chief Minister by reporters of Gomantak Times who took strong objections to people being welcomed to gamble.
The huge arches were erected at the beginning of old Patto bridge here.
After the matter was raised by reporters, Parrikar agreed that it conveyed a wrong signal about the image of the State.
