In neo colonial Goa, hindi was imposed on Goans. In my
school if one spoke Concani a threat of a fine would
be imposed (this is in 1968). In Macau the Portuguese
continue to stay and many have learnt Poutunghua and
Cantonese including kiddies belonging to our Goan
brethern.
