A seaside stroll offers the unusual sight of foreign flags > flying atop shacks. Deputy Inspector General of Police Muktesh Chander says > it is not an offence to fly a foreign flag on Goan soil. (GT) > But surely the national flag has also to be displayed prominently alongside the foreign one(s)? I think this is the normal practice in any country, where the hoisting of a foreign flag alone would be deemed offensive. IMO if one foreign flag is hoisted, the national flag should be hoisted at its right; and if several foreign flags are hoisted, the national one should be flown on the central mast.
