The much awaited foot-ball final of United Goans Centre tournament is now fixed on coming Friday
16th of this month at 8.30 A.M. The venue for the final will be changed and it will be played at Kheitan Stadium and NOT AT SOUR GROUND because of the rain water at Sour Ground.
The Chief Guest for the final will be Mr. Ebrahim Shuaiber The Chairman of The English School, Fahaheel and the Guest of Honour is going to be Mr. Richard Holiday, Manager Hyundai, Division Quick Service.
The finalists are Bombay Boys and Curtorcares. Both the teams will be vying for the supremacy of this prestigeous final. The UG tournament is the oldest tournament amongts us and Bombay Boys are reaching for the final of UG tournament for the first time since the formation of their team. Curtorcares on the otherhand are reaching for the final for the first time since the formation of their team and this being their maiden entry into any final they will surely try their best to overpower their opponents who are also equally worthy of winning the final. Between the two teams, Curtorcares are having a balanced side with youthful outlook having better team work. Outside the field they have better and greater public support created by their president Salvador Dias who is easily the most charismatic person in the entire Curtoracres clan. In fact Salvador Dias thru his goodwill creating a very good support not only for his team but also for Curtorcars in Kuwait.
Let us see who is actually going to win the final. I will be back on this subject after the final. Meantime, best of luch for both the teams.
A. Veronica Fernandes, Kuwait.
