Besides an Assagao Nobay, there used to be a Narcissus Nobre (pronounced Nobray) an executive engineer with the Bombay Municipality and an active member of the Assagao Union.
Then there's Francis. A few from Assagao settled in Bombay, Karachi and East Africa and now spread all over. The surname must have been Francisco anglicized for convenience. Another rare last name from Assagao, the Lisboas. Also (Raul Lawrence) Queiroz though this originated from 'Paklo' ancestry.
