Friends �lets Save our shores�SERIOUS N URGENT I appreciate that this group has been active in raising lot of issues that concern Goa. While I note that the TODAY and Tommorow seems of concern. I wish to draw your attention to a collosal disaster hanging heavy on the entire coast of north goa, specifically from Vagator to Dona paula. Have you imagined while at sinquerim , what shall be fall this entire coast if the River Princess disintegrates�NO , unfortunately No�.belive me it could take a long 15 years or more, to undo, what can be undone within the next 3-4 months , if not done on time. This wreck has to be removed from here at all costs, and its obligatory on each of us, to raise our voices that it be heard in the corridors of power that this vessel is out for always from here, this has to be done urgently and immediately, just see forth, that if the govt, does not do this on a war footing, and begin the execution of this job within the next wek or so, then the usual time it could take to either safely bind this ship, or even get her out which could take 3-4 months of preparation, shall go beyong control, as feb, march, april and upto mid may, these months are the only months when this could be done, and thereafter , its going to be monsoon, while the currents subside in end Oct, while the administration slleps to get up after the new year of 2005�. Gosh, we would be where we are today, for years, while a small powerful current blasts the hull, n turns it into small pieces throwing and scatterring it any way upto Vagator, nothwards and Dona paula southwards what would be the lifeline of Goa then, n what would we be discussing in this group then..? do we have to be responsible to write a few lines here ? or are we going to do more, I am sure we should press the media and the press to do their share of this job too if we wish to save our Goa.Belive me there is�nt going to be a Goa with a 365 days holiday , or even fish that could leave us turning to being herbiverous� Good wishes for each of us to wake up before its too late�
