Dear Jorge,

I hope you received the image file of MAS which I sent you soon after
reading your request.

Thanks for the info on Paulo Nazario Pinto. I presume they are the Pintos
from Aldona. Part of my family has links with them. Several close
descendants of those Pintos now live in Oeiras, Lisbon and Porto.

They had a Pinto Hotel at Namacha.

Were these Pintos related to Sousa Goveia of Mapusa?

Dear Dr. Teotonio,

The commemoration in Loureno Marques (now Maputo) was promoted by the

"Instituto Goano de Loureno Marques" which was founded in 1905 and of which

Paulo Nazrio Pinto was the President in 1930 (year of its silver jubilee)

and maybe also in 1935 (year of the birth centenary of Manuel Antnio de

Sousa). MAS was at some time elected "scio benemrito" of the Institute.

Paulo Nazrio Pinto, whom I knew personally and whose only son is a

pharmacist and lives in Lisbon, was one of distinguished personalities of

the Goan community of that city, where he owned a pharmacy, the "Farmcia

Internacional" in the "Baixa" and a very good residential house in the

city's posh Sommerschield ward.
