Just asked around and found out that King and Queen Momo are always
selected from the Catholic community for the Carnival celebrations in Goa.
I wonder why this is? After all the organisers and participants of the
Carnival Parades are from both communities (unlike the Shigmo Parades). And
since it is a state sponsored festival I think good looks and personality
should be the only criteria and not religion.
Just a thought.
