Goanetters may not know that Dr. Eric Pinto is from New York and has had an illustrious, prominent career with the New York Health Dept. He has been extremely generous with Goan causes, a true philanthropist. I was thrilled to meet him in July 2002 in NY and he graciously hosted a dinner to promote Goa Sudharop. He is active in the NY Goan community (a Past President) and is knowledgeable about history.
Congratulations to Fred (see below) and a big Thank You to Eric for his generousity. A great example for other expat Goans to follow. George P.S. I would include Mumbai Goans among expat Goans who can help assist Goa and Goans. I was amazed to discover the considerable Goan wealth in Mumbai during recent visits, very little of which is directed towards Goa. Diappointing to also see good people like Fausto who work so hard to promote Goan cultue in Mumbai receive little financial support. --- eric pinto <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > For the extra info, call it dope in New York, Fred > hits a hundred 'greeners': will find a way to make it > local delivery to beat Bank fees.
