Am I wrong in believing that the US perspective on home-schooling is quite different from the one described at Vasco? While the latter is based on a critique of what the straight-jacketed educational system does to our kids, home-schooling in the US is significantly a reaction to what conservative Christians see as a way to combat "secularisation" of the educational system.
