Dear Peter and Daniel, I admire your commitment to homeschool your children. It is a formidable task which needs patience and perseverance. You are indeed spending quality time with your children. I need to know one thing,do you and your spouse take turns to teach the children,do you have a daily routine for them? How do you make sure that they interact with other children,do you maintain contacts with other homeschoolers in your area? I would love to homeschool my kids, but the options in Goa are very few.We have National Open School which has a basic average standard.Ive heard mixed reports about it.It has a certain stigma attached to it,because a lot of school dropouts view it as an option.A private school in South Goa,who are following an American syllabus,(Christian),intend letting their children appear for the National Open School exams, because of lack of other options.
Fortunately,we dont have the same social problems like the U.S.,as yet.Our education system has many drawbacks, but our schools are safe.My little girls love going to school, they look forward to meeting their friends, they love their teacher. As of now, they are still small, they are fine where they are,but I definitely want to keep options open. Congratulations on taking up the challenge of homeschooling your kids.
